A year has passed since they began to feel
This subtle yet insistent pull, this call
That whispered in their hearts that they would fall
To a life-transforming love, that they would kneel
To the infinite in themselves. Now, they’ve heard the peal
Of heaven’s clear bells, and the cacaphone squall
Of hell’s harsh drumming, yet surmounted all
For the chance to know what’s fully and perfectly real.
This year has been the first of many more,
And they’ll see them all as two and also one;
They’ll dance together beneath the moon and sun,
Rejoicing in life, and doing what they adore
Together, completed, and stronger than their fears,
Their limitless love increasing with the years.
